At Birch & Bees CIC, we are dedicated to creating an affordable and inclusive space where individuals of all ages can explore, learn, and grow. The main focus of the organisation is to provide opportunities for children who are not in school, and to support their grown ups.
Why Birch & Bees?
The Birch signifies new starts and opportunities. The Bee is very busy and sociable. The combination signifies new opportunities for busy bees!
Founded by Rebecca Howley-Rivers who has a background in Human Resources (HR), Learning and Development and now qualified in Complementary Therapy, with an emphasis on mindfulness and meditation. She has extensive professional and personal experience of working with neurodivergent individuals and is passionate about support and accessibility for all. After leaving the Human Resources field, Rebecca has gained experience in running a number of community groups and setting up initiatives, particularly for young people.
Rebecca also understands the world of Home Education having done so for many years and the difficulties of having a child on school roll, but not able to attend.
All children deserve access to an education and sadly there are a number of children who are not in school currently, but are on the school roll. We are here to give you support whilst you go through the processes to enable your child to return, along with the practical challenges of having a child that is absent from school, but still on their roll.
Having children who are not in school can be a difficult time for their grown ups too, especially if your child is on school roll but just not able to attend. For those who are off roll and Home Educate, this can be a bit overwhelming when you first start too. We are here to provide support and guidance to help get your through.
All volunteers hold Enhanced DBS clearance and we are insured for your peace of mind.
