For those Home Educating, or considering Home Education in Chatteris and the surrounding area.

Who are we?

 

Home Education Chatteris is a support group for the local Home Educating Community.  Run by Rebecca and the Youth Ambassadors as part of Birch & Bees CIC, it is currently the main focus of the organisation.

 

What do you do?

The group has weekly meet ups for young people and monthly meet ups for adults only.  

 

Who is it for?

Any young person not in school, whether home educated or on school roll, but not attending.

 

 

Childrens dates 2025:
1.15pm-3pm

Adults dates 2025:
6.30-8.00pm

For Young People

We hold weekly meet ups mainly in term time.  These are open to all children of school age however it is aimed more at 11yrs plus.  We have young people from the age of 11 to 18 currently attending.

 

These sessions are run by our Young Ambassadors and they are always looking for ideas.

 

We have board games available along with craft and bingo days too.

 

These cost £3 per family to pay towards room hire and insurance.  Adults are required to remain in attendance during these sessions please.  

 

No need to book, just pop in.

For Adults

Home Educating children can be a tough job and sometimes feel a little isolating.  If you are looking for some support with educating your child or would like to meet some like minded people then pop along to our monthly adult groups.

These are strictly for Adults only so individuals can seek support freely.
